Concerto for Flute in D K.314
Concerto for Piano in A No. 23 K.488
Requiem K.626
A Grand Opening of the Ama Deus Ensemble and the Kimmel Center-Friday night series, this exciting evening would make even Mozart jealous that he is not personally able to be part of it! In Vienna, he would play the Flute Concerto, sit down at the fortepiano and dazzle his noble audiences, and then step up on the podium and conduct his singers and orchestra to roaring applause. Maestro Radu will do all of thatminus playing the flute! Hear the Steinway, and be uplifted by the majestic Requiem!
1749 Covent Garden version

Timothy Bentch (tenor), Ed Bara (bass)

Concerto for Violin in D Op. 61 Symphony No. 9
in d minor “Choral” Op. 125
Beethoven’s last symphonyhis Ninth is a perfect 10! And unlike any other symphony previously written (which was always for orchestra only), this one, nicknamed “Choral,” ends with the famous “Ode to Joy,” with full chorus and vocal soloists. And its performance is preceded by Ludwig’s only Violin Concerto, another amazing landmark, brought to life by the Ama Deus Ensemble concertmaster Thomas DiSarlo’s fast fingers!
